The Story So Far.........

The majority of the girls have been together now for 2 seasons and are about to embark on their third season in the S-Tech Cambridgeshire League.

Of the 11 players currently registered 7 of the team are original members who started at U10 level in season 2007/08. In a league of 6 teams we finished a very respectable 3rd and all 7 remaining team members from that original squad managed to get on the scoresheet that season. Madde and Bethany joined the team towards the end of the season adding some excellent depth to the squad and we gained an excellent runners up spot in the Bourne tournament.

Moving up to U11 in season 2008/09 the league expanded to 10 teams and we again came mid-table finishing in 6th place. Calista top scored with 8 goals with 3 other players notching 6 goals each. For the second year in succession we were knocked out of the cup by eventual runners-up Priory. Hollie and Ellie W joined during the season giving us a very solid squad of 11 players. The tournament season saw some excellent performances, another runner up in the Bourne event and a fantastic 3rd place in an U12 event in Huntingdon being the highlights.

The new season promises much and hopefully we can build on the excellent play from the tournament season last year and hit the ground running.
